Proof Walking Liberty Half Dollars
Although the series began in 1916, Proof Walking Liberty Half Dollars were not produced until 1936. This was the year that the Philadelphia Mint resumed production of proof coinage after a twenty year gap. The half dollar was struck in proof from 1936 until 1942.
These Proof Walking Liberty Half Dollars have low mintages compared to later proof issues. Ranging from a low of 3,901 in 1936 to a high of 21,120 in 1942, these coins are prized by collectors for their beauty and scarcity.
Below is a selection of coins available for sale that have been certified by third party grading companies PCGS or NGC.
